From the Director

Thank you for interest in our extraordinary learning environment. We would be honored to teach and care for your wonderful child. Each child is a precious gift to their family. We are here not only to offer a safe and loving “home away from home”, but to facilitate a love of learning and to construct a solid base for your child to build upon. As Benjamin Franklin said: “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” It is upon this last line that the Montessori Method and our school are founded. The majority of our activities offer hands on learning. When a child becomes a part of the “coral reef” and interacts with his/her classmates, learning becomes fun and is instilled in his/her mind. It is my hope that you find the best fit for your child and that his/her unique learning potential is attained.

From the Teachers

We respect each child’s individuality and their natural abilities. We follow the child’s interests and encourage them to try new challenges. This brings joy to our lives as teachers.

Working with 2 – 6 year olds is a journey which requires humility and restraint as I learn each day that I am not the driver on this journey. What a joy to be a witness to each child’s discoveries along the way though!

Being parents and educators, we need to be mindful that children have something to teach us as well. All we have to do is listen.

Of the many marvels of the word, none fills my heart more than the excitement and wonderment of the young child. If we could all “go there” once in a while, and see through their eyes, the world would be a better place.

My favorite moments in the classroom are the spontaneous ones where a child, to him/herself says ‘I did it’, oblivious of the activities around them. It’s the moment of the learning.
